Vesta is a powerful document management system that is easily deployed for any internet, extranet or intranet scenario.

In short, Vesta is a webservice using the MyLook Web client to access a specific root folder's contents and it's subfolders. Users can login either with a username and password or anonymously and Vesta gives you full control over exactly what the respective users will see and what they can do in each folder. Audit logs are kept for account logins as well as for each file open or download, as well as for each acceptance of a prerequisite which may exist for a folder's contents, ex. a Non-Disclosure Agreement must be accepted before an user can download anything in the folder.

Therefore, if you have an internet-, extranet- or intranet website, and want to control precisely who can download what from where, Vesta is perfect for you. It is free and open source, developed in PHP it installs on Windows or Linux servers. All you require is a standard PHP 5 enabled webserver, no databases, and no hassles.
